Description
Our natural lavender hydrolate for perfumery is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Lavandula Angustifolia. It is known as Lavender Natural Hydrolat among trade partners outside the country. The aerial stalk provides the entire starting mass that goes into processing. Steam distillation shapes the clear aromatic profile of the product, as only the volatile constituents of the aerial plant mass remain in the aqueous base. The light starting material also determines the tone of the liquid, which is why it lies between colorless and slightly yellowish. The product falls within the range of a clear and free-flowing liquid. The Lamiaceae family unites genera with a glandular apparatus on the stem and leaf surface. Capitate and peltate glandular trichomes grow on the aerial organs of the plant and absorb the aromatic part even before the raw material goes into processing. Linalool and linalyl acetate carry the characteristic aroma of the species, while the other volatile compounds remain in the background of the overall aromatic profile of the liquid. The plantations in Bulgaria grow under natural cultivation in open fields. The natural approach to the plantations is reflected in the composition, so the liquid contains an aqueous base and volatile substances, while preservatives and colorants are left aside. The strength of the scent stays within soft limits. The floral thread leads the profile, while the herbal nuance lends restraint to the overall tone. In labiate plants, the aqueous phase collects mainly polar oxygenated compounds. In addition, the origin of the raw material remains limited to Bulgarian fields. It is precisely this combination that leaves the soft floral progression of lavender in the finished distillate.
